hi everyone. I have wanted to update for quite a while but various things always get in the way. BUT today I actually have time! I have been taking finals, writing papers, doing presentations and all the wonderful things that happen at the end of the semester. This year I even had the special bonus of having the flu and rescheduling two finals. The flu actually is the reason I have time to blog, the silver lining if you will. Because I was ill and rescheduled finals I now have a random day in finals week where I do not have finals but the semester is not over. Of course I have plenty of other things to work on but since being sick has made me tired I have decided blogging is a better thing to accomplish.
So for all of you in blog land I thought I would outline some of the fun things I plan to do on xmas break. At first I planned to sleep for 2 whole days. BUT having the flu took care of that so I can now move on to laundry, wedding planning, and finding out the true color of my carpet. Somewhere in there I will also be spending time with family and family-to-be, sharing all the fun of the holidays....mistletoe, leftovers, presents, and seeing a great many people in their pajamas. Still on the list after all of that is trying to get an appointment at the eye doctor, and trying on dresses. I personally think if would be very fun to do these both in the same day, so that the bridal gown people have to tell me how wonderful I look in various gowns while I wear the plastic glasses they give you after dilating your eyes.
Thats about all the news from here....you can now put down your 3 things you learned from reading Amy's blog in an email and impress people all day long.
1. Do NOT get the flu
2. Pajama watching is a highlight of the holiday season
3. Wedding gowns and black plastic glasses is a new fad.

PICTURES!
Hi everyone!
Well a big thanks to my Aunt Patsy for her instructions on how to put pictures on my blog! Although I almost faked not understanding them just to have an excuse to talk to her on the phone. Will have to investigate how calling Germany works later.
Anyway for all you blog readers I have uploaded a picture of my Fiance Jon. Doesn't he look great everyone? This is a picture of us at our second prom a good 5...almost 6 years after our first prom. This prom happened to be a very fun church fundraiser for the youth to go on a mission trip. So a bunch of us went to dance and relive prom for a good cause.

Cattle Bat
Hello everyone,
Before I get going I am sad to inform you all that I still have no earthly idea how to put pictures on my blog, BUT you can check out enormous renditions of my hand with engagement ring on Jon's blog.
Secondly, a big congratulations to my favorite dog parents on the recent adoption of Battlecat!
Not much else to report, just thought for all the readers out there I would put up a new post. Besides it helps me get back into the swing of typing after driving home from Layton. This week should be a good one. I am testing a friend of dad's in the on campus clinic on Tuesday, always fun to have a client that you know. I am finishing up a theme on safety with Pioneer Club kids on Wed. night...and of course rounding off the week with yet another Friday at U of U hospital.
I wish I had some amazing stories to share with you all from U of U clinic 9....we did see a man with cotton stuck in his ear this last Friday, I have learned how to drill vents into hearing aids,
and I got to play with a new hearing aid that uses a remote control but thats about it for fun stories. Anyway will try to post a tale of excitement soon!

financial aid, hurricanes, and the registrar
Hello everyone!
After many many days I have finally found a spare min. to blog about life. School has been going well but things are very busy. My latest triumphs include several trips to the registrars office, and reading about financial aid. The system here at USU is that once you don't attend a class they automatically drop you and send you a refund. So when you go into the registrar at the begining of the semester to drop one class and add one class you end up paying them and then later recieving the same amount in the mail later that week. Some days I wish a hurricane would decend soley on the registrars office and kill all their computers and shoes. Just a foot of water or so not more than that. Lets see other news? Oh yes reading about financial aid, lately since I have been considering marriage and self support etc. I have been reading on all the fun ways the Federal Government can help me. I think its a great idea to force the registrars office and the Federal Government to communicate.
Other fun school news from this week: I am almost done with my neuro anatomy class and have been coloring a bunch of brain diagrams to prepare for tests. My on campus clinic this week involved a man with alzhiemers who had ridiculous amounts of ear wax.
Home news: My printer is still broken, it just makes the paper uptake noise over and over. I actually got to see Paul for dinner two nights this week and the back door is warping with the weather so it doesn't close properly.
Hmmm I think thats all for now, my brain is tired so not sure how this blog is turning out. Much love to Jake and Erin glad to hear you have survived hurricanes! So much for docile confines! Hope to write more soon!

Compressed Air
Hello everyone,
Tonights news starts with my current debate of 'does a confetti canon count as a firework or compressed air or neither'? I want to send my friend several confetti canons as a gift to show her how happy we all are for her that she is now engaged. BUT, I'm not sure if I'll get thrown in the clink by USPS for mailing them. I'd take them to the post office and just ask but I'm afraid they'll confiscate them or something. In other news there are exactly 10 days until my first comprehensive exam for the AuD program, guess how much I'll be blogging this next week. Emily (the band gal that has been staying with us) is now officially moved into her dorms. And last but not least the nail that was stuck in the pump of my parents washing machine has 'worked its way out' due to the fact that my dad called people on the phone (me, my mom, and the repairman) and played the weird noise for us all, this apparently the on again off again jostled it back to normality. Thats about it for fun and exciting adventures with Amy, I'll write again after comps.

finally found password
hello all,
Well after several weeks of searching and emailing I finally found my password so it was possible for me to get back on and update my blog. Maybe this time I can aim for two posts in a month. Not that a lot has occurred but I know all you adoring fans are waiting for the next post and I don't want to disappoint. So here is the latest news: I have finished summer clinic hours at Tanner Clinic (~130 hours only 1,670 hours to go) and I am waiting for my new fall placement. I also have finished the summer research stats class and have passed the entrance exam into the next level of stats. I can now relax and do all those fun summer things like studying for the first week of class in which I have 4 days of comprehensive exams. This week we have Emily Sorensen staying at our house. She is a freshman who is here for of all things, band camp. USU doesn't open the dorms until the 22nd so she is crashing on our most uncomfortable hide-a-bed until she can move. So we are teaching her all the vitals like bus schedules and how to make easy mac. Anyways thats all the news for now. Hope to post again soon.
